How cool is this? Advocate Cycles is working with five major bicycle advocacy groups and will begin allocating funds to them immediately, based on sales of our Hayduke™, Watchman™, and new Lorax™ models.
The five partner groups, alphabetically, are the Adventure Cycling Association, Bicycles For Humanity, IMBA, National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), and People for Bikes. You can see them all–complete with links–on our Partners page.
Even better, when you purchase a new Advocate bike, whether through a participating retailer or direct from us, you’ll have the opportunity to select which of these worthy group(s) get(s) the profit from your purchase.
“Our business plan is both very simple and completely unique” explains Advocate Cycles founder Tim Krueger, (he’s an industry veteran and former product manager for the Salsa and Whiskey brands). “Our name says it all. We make bikes. We sell bikes. We give 100% of the profit to advocacy.“
Yup, it really is that simple. Our new advocacy partners are understandably pleased.
“For a new company in the mountain bike segment, Advocate has shown great vision in creating a business model that gives back to its customer.” That’s IMBA Associate Director of Development Rod Judd talking. “Advocate is facilitating the development of superior mountain bike experience throughout the building of bike parks and the development of trails for its customers to enjoy.”
We like the sound of that. Here’s another from Charlie Cooper, Vice President of Membership & Development at People For Bikes:
“Advocate clearly cares about its customers. Obviously we’re appreciative that an emerging brand is making a commitment to People For Bikes at its inception. What’s particularly fitting about the relationship between our two brands is that we are working together to make riding conditions better for all types of riders.
